Three Cups of Tea

Greg Mortenson came to Bainbridge today and talked about his book, Three Cups of Tea. His story is incredible... if you haven't read it yet, you should!

1 penny can buy a child in Afghanistan a pencil. $20 will provide school supplies for a student for a year. $300 can give a scholarship for higher education. $600 can pay a teacher for a year. $50,000 can provide a school for the children of an entire village and 5 years of support.

Beanbag Maintenance

Who in their right mind would empty out their bean bag to replace those little foam balls?
They have so much static electricity that you can never get rid of them.

Of Gum and Art

Most tourists at the Pike Place Market go watch people throw fish, (who knows why) instead of checking out the gum wall. The city tried cleaning it off before, until they realized it was art.
In fact, look how closely it resembles this expensive oil painting in a fancy downtown office building lobby.

A day of pictures at the beach.

Rachel and I went to the beach to take pictures a while back. We took quite a few pictures.

Scaning negatives is too much fun!

My camera is having problems.
